Heather Colley is pursuing a Master’s in English Literature at the University of St. Andrews. As an undergraduate, she was an honors student in English Literature, Creative Writing and Sociology at the University of Michigan and the University of Oxford. In 2018, she won the Hopwood Literary Fiction Award and the Roy and Helen Meador Prize for excerpts from her novel in progress. In 2020, she won third prize in the Exeter Literary Festival Flash Fiction Competition for a short story titled “Brands of Escape.” Some of her fiction has also been published in The RC Review, The 21st Annual Café Shapiro Anthology, The 23rd Annual Café Shapiro Anthology, Blueprint Literary Magazine, Xylem (2017, 2018, 2019), and Fortnite Literary Press. She was born in New York City and grew up in the Hudson Valley.
